What is the mold made of?
The mold is made of a kind of silicone that includes all the details of the original clay model. If an image is too large to cast in one go, which is usually the case, several smaller casts are made. When we work with the lost wax technique, the mold is covered with warm wax. Once the layer has cooled and dried, a new layer of washing follows. This process repeats visibility until the wax has the desired thickness of the final bronze image.
